Network News (or Usenet) is a conferencing system on the Internet.
Here is the main top level of the news groups.
The usenet hierarchy is a hodge-podge resulting from just a few years
of evolution. Its anarchistic bureaucracy slows the process down, and
major reorganizations are all but impossible. Perhaps HyperNews will facilitate faster
evolution.
